""Finally Leslie was back to her old self. "When?" She asked with curiosity. Then Jess' mum said quickly "You'll have to stay at our house for a week or two" She accepted because she could see Jess more. She then looked worried "Is it Christmas tomorrow?" The first one to answer was May Belle "Yep, and I'm going to get a princess crown from Santa" Leslie smiled..""

"But I can't see my parents on Christmas?" That's when Jess' mum finally remembered
"Oh yes I forgot, they will be coming tomorrow morning to give your presents". Leslie looked happier than ever. "Can I go to the bank". They laughed
His sister Brenda then laughingly said "YOU have a bank account?". Leslie gave a confused nod, then she to all of them except the adults "You guys don't have bank accounts?". They all sadly nodded, then looked at their parents. Then Jess' dad said "Yeah, sure we can take you".
After about ten minutes (while Jess and Lesley were signing forms to get themselves out) they all crammed themselves into the car and they drove off to their house. It took them three hours to get back to the house. When they were there, the first thing that jess said, was probably what he was thinking all through the journey "Can me and Leslie go to the woods mum?" she took a while to answer.
"Yes but don't be long, you have two hours down there"
They both nodded. And then they both raced like they usually did to the forest.
When they got to creek Leslie looked impressed. "Did you do this?" He gave a nod "Yeah, I kinda did it for you" Leslie smiled and went up to Jess and gave him a soft kiss on the cheek. They both turned red. Back at the house while Leslie and Jess were searching the tree house (finding rotten biscuits and such) Jess' mum and dad were both chatting about how possibly Jess was right about how he and Leslie were in love. Jess' mum said "It's love! It might last long..." On the other hand Jess' dad had something different to say "It's stupid, they are both young still! They can't be in love." They both stood there for a bit, and then they both went back to their house work. Meanwhile May Belle was sneaking around the house in search for presents when she saw Jess' art pad. She quietly opened it and saw different pictures to the ones she saw last year. She saw pictures of Jess and Leslie; they were pictures of them kissing. She shrieked. She quickly shut the pad and was just about to run out of the door when her dad was there. He looked at her suspiciously. (She did look suspicious). "What were you doing then?" She started to cry. "I was looking through Jess' art pad. I'm sorry!" She was crying her eyes out. Her dad looked sorry for her too and asked what was in it. She was crying too much to say so she just showed him. Once he saw that page, he turned to the other pages; he noticed that Jess made a flip book. It was of Leslie. He immediately shut the book and he walked out of the room with May Belle.
In the forest Jess and Leslie hardly thought that it had been two hours. Jess was showing his new watch to Leslie, then she noticed the time. "It's five!" Jess suddenly realised. He asked Lesley Quickly.
"What time did we leave?"
She then said "Three!" Jess did not know how she knew the time before. Leslie grabbed Jess' hand and they went off back to the house. When they arrived at the house they smelt nicely cooked turkey, roast potatoes and veg. Jess and Leslie both went into the crammed lounge with Jess' sisters arguing about what channel to watch. They just went onto the spare sofa on the left of the lounge. After a few minutes Jess' dad approached him. Jess thought he was in big trouble. But his dad was silent "Come here a second son." Jess did what he was told. They went into a tiny room where no one could hear them.
"Son, I saw your art pad" Jess looked disgusted yet embarrassed.
"You did?" His dad gave a nod.
"I did, and I realise how much you like Leslie..." Jess looked embarrassed and shocked.
"You don't think I'm stupid do you?". This was the longest conversation Jess had ever had with his dad without arguing.
His dad laughed a bit and he said in a very encouraging sense "Son I thought you were stupid at first, you know with the whole Leslie thing, and now I don't mind, after all it's what you want, right?" Jess gave a weak nod, and to his surprise his dad gave him a hug. Jess hugged him back and they both descended back to the noisy lounge.
