Okay, this is the full version- only added one final chorus, but it sounds pretty good. I'll have the recording up soon, hopefully.
[Verse 1]
Waking up to see the sun
Rising in the east again
Can’t you see the memory
That echoes round your head
Another place another face
That you can’t recollect
The love you can’t return to who you’ve met
The feeling fades until there’s nothing left
[Verse 2]
In the dark you lose the part
You play in other lives
Where you are, it seems too far
From where the morning lies
When things are bad, you can’t turn back
To what they want you for
Be yourself and just keep going on
There’s no way they’d keep you down for long
[Chorus]
Remember just where you’re from
Remember how far you’ve gone
Remember the person you’ve become
Remember just who you are
Remember you’ve come too far
Remember the girl you are at heart
[Verse 3]
In a place with empty space
Way deep inside your mind
Snow may fall and cover all
The world in sheets of white
Though you can’t see the memory
That’s covered by the frost
What’s forgotten never means it’s lost
Clear away the shadows and the dust
[Chorus]
And then remember just where you’re from
Remember how far you’ve gone
Remember the person you’ve become
Remember just who you are
Remember you’ve come too far
Remember the girl you are at heart
[Instrumental]
[Chorus]
Remember there’s still a way
Remember it’s not too late
Remember that you can’t hesitate
Remember this is the start
Remember though stars may part
Remember the girl you are at heart
This song is basically about the fact that superstars always tend to forget faces of the incredibly large amount of fans, and they can't really return all their feelings. But just because of the distance between them, you shouldn't forget that you were once one of the fans of somebody, and just remember that you've got fans of your own who are supporting you, and help you to reach greater heights. At least, that's what I was thinking of when I wrote this
